Evin Ahmad, known from the feature film Dröm Vidare and the Netflix series Quicksand and The Rain S2, will play the leading role as Leya. In addition to film and television, she is also a writer and part of The Swedish Royal Dramatic Theatre ensemble. The main cast also includes Alexander Abdallah, Ali Alarik, Olle Sarri and Dada Fungula Bozela as well as Jozef Wojciechowicz (Z.E) in a supporting role.

The Swedish language reboot sets in Stockholm ten years after the events depicted in the film trilogy. In the center of the story is Leya, a young single mom trying to make it within the startup- scene. It is a buzzing environment where the craving for status and money is stronger than ever and Leya is determined to make it, no matter what. The entrepreneurial jet set as well as the criminal world is more brutal, chaotic and ruthless than ever. When these two worlds collide, loyalty, friendships and business partners will all be tested in the never-ending quest for easy money.

Evin Ahmad, says: “When I am asked what my dream role is as an actor, I never really had a good answer - but now I do. Leya is the dream role I have been waiting for all my life. It was so great when the Easy Money movies came along, it was something everyone wanted to be a part of. When I heard Netflix was making the Snabba Cash series, I did not envision a woman as the lead character. That is why it is even more exciting to be part of this project and to be able to shape this relevant story. To me personally, this is a story about human forces but also about how vital the pursuit of money is in a world where some don’t even think that class systems exist. Leya is a complex character who is prepared to do anything in her power to be successful.”

Snabba Cash will be directed by Jesper Ganslandt and produced by Nicklas Wikström Nicastro for SF Studios. The series is written and created by Oskar Söderlund together with Jens Lapidus, who’s also serving as the executive producer.

Jens Lapidus is a Swedish criminal defense lawyer and internationally bestselling author with 2.2 million books sold in Sweden alone. The Stockholm Noir trilogy are published in 30 languages and the first book, Snabba Cash, was successfully adapted into three feature films.

The cast also includes Ayan Ahmed, Khalil Ghazal, Robin Nazari and Felice Jankell.

Snabba Cash will launch exclusively on Netflix in 2021.
