SF Studios proudly hosted a gala premiere and a master class of our anticipated US film adaptation A Man Called Otto in Stockholm this week. The gala premiere on December 13 was attended by leading actor Tom Hanks and supporting actor Mariana Treviño together with director Marc Forster and producers Rita Wilson and Fredrik Wikström Nicastro at SF Studios. The following day Christina Jeurling Birro moderated two highly appreciated discussions between Tom Hanks and Rolf Lassgård and Rita Wilson and Fredrik Wikström Nicastro to a fully packed theatre of people from the film industry and media.

The film is a life affirming drama comedy about love and unexpected friendships and is adapted from from Fredrik Backman’s 1# New York Times bestseller A Man Called Ove and the Swedish film of the same name, directed by Hannes Holm.

The master class of A Man Called Otto on December 14 attracted many talents from the Swedish film industry together with media and industry partners. On stage, journalist Christina Jeurling Birro moderated a discussion with Tom Hanks and Rolf Lassgård, discussing their respective roles as Otto/Ove in the US and Swedish version of the film.
