Danish box office hit Kingmaker gets a sequel with the Film Adaptation of Fandens Forår

The Danish box office hit Kingmaker (Danish title: Mørkeland), which has just surpassed 220,000 tickets sold, will now have a sequel in the film series that started 20 years ago with Kongekabale. Meta Film has officially announced that plans for another film adaptation of Niels Krause-Kjær's bestselling novels, Fandens forår, are already well underway, with Mikkel Serup as director and Nikolaj Arcel as screenwriter. Fandens forår is produced by Meta Film, with producers Sara Namer and Morten Kjems Hytten Juhl, and executive producer Meta Louise Foldager, while SF Studios will handle distribution across the Nordic region.
