SF Studios to release Lotte & Totte: My First Friend in July in the Nordics
Gunilla Wolde’s classic children’s book characters, Lotte & Totte, are now making their debut on the big screen in the animated feature film Lotte & Totte: My First Friend. SF Studios distributes the film across the Nordics in July!
Lotte & Totte: My First Friend is an animated film that explores the themes of friendship, play, and reconciliation. The story follows Emma, who moves away from everything she knows and struggles with loneliness until she meets her energetic new neighbor, Totte. When one of their imaginative games goes too far, their friendship is put to the test, and Emma must find a way to make amends.
The film is directed by Mia Fridthjof and is inspired by characters from the beloved Lotte & Totte books. It is animated by award-winning director Christian Kuntz, whose visual style remains faithful to the original illustrations. Ronnie Fridhtjof produces for Fridhtjof Animation and is co-produced by the Oscar-nominated Danish studio Nørlum and Spanish animation studio B-Water, with support from Nordisk Film & TV Fond and the Danish Film Institute.
