Greenland is suddenly everyone’s business - now it’s Blockbuster’s too
And yes, Greenland 2: Migration premieres at the same time. Greenland has recently found itself at the centre of global headlines and geopolitical conversations. Now, it’s getting another kind of attention: The streaming service Blockbuster is officially launching on the island.
With the launch, households across Greenland will gain access to Blockbuster’s full library of premium rentals and purchases, including the latest Hollywood releases and popular international titles.
The timing of the launch comes with an almost cinematic coincidence. At the same time as Blockbuster arrives in Greenland, the apocalyptic action adventure Greenland 2: Migration is being released on the platform.
“Greenland seems to be on everyone’s radar right now, so it felt like the right moment for Blockbuster to arrive as well,” says Ann Katrine Andersen, Marketing Manager at Blockbuster. “The fact that Greenland 2: Migration is launching on the platform at the same time almost feels too perfect.”
