First look at Bille August's new film The Pact with Birthe Neumann in role as Karen Blixen

The teaser trailer for The Pact has been released today. The Pact is a psychological drama about the intense friendship between world-famous author Karen Blixen (Birthe Neumann) and the young and promising poet Thorkild Bjørnvig (Simon Bennebjerg). A heartbreaking story about a master and her apprentice and about the price of following your heart. The film is based on real events and Thorkild Bjørnvig's famous book The Pact, published in 1974. The film is directed by Palme d’Or winner Bille August (Pelle the Conqeuror, The Best Intentions, Silent Heart).
The teaser trailer is a short scene where Karen Blixen meets Thorkild Bjørnvig at Rungstedlund for the first time.
The Pact is produced by SF Studios and Motor with producers Jesper Morthorst and Karin Trolle. Nordic distribution is handled by SF Studios with an expected premiere in the spring of 2021.
