The first pictures from the set of the new Swedish Netflix original series Snabba Cash are released today with lead actress Evin Ahmad (Dröm Vidare, Quicksand, The Rain S2), in the role as Leya, and Alexander Abdallah, in the role as Salim. Snabba Cash is based on a script from screenwriter Oskar Söderlund and bestselling author Jens Lapidus and is produced by SF Studios, the original producer of the hugely successful and critically acclaimed Snabba Cash (Easy Money) film trilogy. The series will be directed by Jesper Ganslandt and produced by Nicklas Wikström Nicastro for SF Studios. Snabba Cash will launch exclusively on Netflix in 2021.
The Swedish language reboot sets in Stockholm ten years after the events depicted in the film trilogy. In the center of the story is Leya (Evin Ahmad) a young single mom trying to make it within the startup- scene. It is a buzzing environment where the craving for status and money is stronger than ever and Leya is determined to make it, no matter what. The entrepreneurial jet set as well as the criminal world is more brutal, chaotic and ruthless than ever. When these two worlds collide, loyalty, friendships and business partners will all be tested in the never-ending quest for easy money.
The main cast includes Alexander Abdallah, Ali Alarik, Olle Sarri and Dada Fungula Bozela as well as Jozef Wojciechowicz (Z.E) in a supporting role. The cast also includes Ayan Ahmed, Khalil Ghazal, Robin Nazari and Felice Jankell.
