SF Anytime expands in the Baltics and joins partnership with TV3 Group

27 January 2020 - Last updated 12 May 2020

SF Anytime, the leading Video on Demand service in the Nordics, strengthens its position in the Baltics – entering partnership with TV3 Group, previously known as All Media Baltics.

SF Anytime has had a strong growth in the Nordics, especially in Sweden, the last years with over 450% growth* for their own direct-to-consumer service. A next strategic decision is to enter new and existing markets even more aggressively and the Baltic area is one example.

“The Baltic countries are interesting markets for us with enormous potential. We are very excited to enter into this partnership with TV3 Group, the biggest Pan-Baltic media house with multiple linear and digital platforms across all three countries and who also have a deep understanding of how they will present and market their service towards the end-consumers”, says Jens Håkansta, EVP Digital Services.

SF Anytime will provide movies from all the major film studios** to TV3 Group, and the end-consumers will have the chance to take part of the content from 2020 and onwards. SF Anytime is a digital video on demand service where you rent or buy movies one at a time, meaning no subscriptions and no need for customers to commit to a fixed period. This model of payment gives SF Anytime and its partners, such as TV3 Group, access to all the newest movies from the content distributors before they reach the subscription services and pay-tv channels.

TV3 Group enters the Transactional Video on Demand market by partnering with SF Anytime. They have strong foothold in media in all three Baltic territories, owning the biggest local Free TV channels TV3, movie and sports Pay TV channels TV3 Film and TV3 Sport, SVOD platform Go3, etc.

*Growth 2016-2019
**Disney, Warner, Universal, Sony and Paramount
