A Beautiful Life is a feature film about Elliott, a young fisherman with an extraordinary voice, who gets the chance of a lifetime when the high-profile manager Suzanne discovers him at a party. Elliott is played by Danish singer Christopher in his first-ever leading role, this Danish feature film is produced by SF Studios in co-production with Rocket Road Pictures with support from Den Vestdanske Filmpulje and directed by Mehdi Avaz.

“Mehdi came to me with this opportunity, and it has been an absolutely insane journey. Being allowed to be a part of the process from start to finish has made it one of the most fun creative projects I've ever been a part of. Acting for the first time has been one of the most demanding and boundary-breaking things, but at the same time a fantastic and unforgettable experience. It's been amazing to play a character like Elliott, who is so far from myself. He is a very complex character with a wild and dark past, and he, like me, is on a wild journey in this film. However, we have a few things in common - including the love of music," says Christopher

"When I got the idea for A Beautiful Life, it was my dream to make the film with Christopher. We met and Christopher wrote some songs inspired by the story, and from there started an adventurous collaboration. We have spent many hours together developing Christopher as an actor and to connect the music with the film. I am very much looking forward to showing all of Denmark the result on Netflix next year," says Mehdi Avaz.

A Beautiful Life is produced by SF Studios and producers Anna Malmkjær Willumsen and Julie Rix Bomholt in co-production with Rocket Road Pictures and with the support from Den Vestdanske Filmpulje.

“It’s been a dream to partake in a film that so effortlessly unites amazing music with a touching story about finding the right balance between pure passion, family and love. We’ve had a wonderful collaboration with Netflix along with great support from Den Vestdanske Filmpulje that made it possible to shoot this film in beautiful surroundings in Frederikshavn, Ebeltoft and Aarhus”, says Anna Malmkjær Willumsen and Julie Rix Bomholt.

SF Studios is currently producing the Danish costume drama Ehrengard for Netflix and has also recently produced the Swedish Netflix original series Snabba Cash, the first Swedish Netflix film Red Dot and the first Danish Netflix film Loving Adults, that have been well received by international media and audiences.

A Beautiful Life premieres on Netflix in 2023.
