SF Studios appoints Michael Holmberg as new Head of SF Anytime

With over 3 million active customers and a growth of 400% during the last 5 years, Michael Holmberg joins SF Studios as new Head of the streaming service SF Anytime. His responsibilities will be to drive further expansion and growth of the digital transactional business.
SF Anytime has had a strong development in recent years and has strengthened its position in the increasingly competitive streaming market. In 2020 alone, SF Anytime's consumer platform grew by 35%. SF Anytime offers a broad range of new films and TV series from the US majors and Nordic film companies as well as an extensive library of content. Today SF Anytime offer more than 12.000 movies and 4.000 series episodes.

Michael Holmberg has spent most of his professional life in the sports and gaming industries, most recently he served as Group CEO of the Malta based publicly listed company Raketech Group. Prior to that, Michael held the position as Group CEO at Bethard Group and as General Manager at Rational Group Malta, where he established PokerStars’ European operations.

During the ongoing pandemic, some film studios have chosen to move their theatrical releases to streaming services. SF Anytime has had great success with early releases of among others the documentary Greta. On Friday January 29, the Swedish Guldbaggen Award-winner Run Uje Run (Spring Uje Spring) will have an early release at SF Anytime.
Michael Holmberg joins the company in January 2021 and reports to SF Studios' CEO Michael Porseryd.
