SF Studios producer Jon Nohrstedt awarded with the Gullspira Children’s Film Award at the Guldbagge Awards 2021

SF Studios producer Jon Nohrstedt has been awarded with the Gullspira Children’s Film Award at the Guldbagge Awards 2021 for his contribution to Swedish children’s film. In addition, SF Studios’ production title Nelly Rapp – Monster Agent (Best Costume Design, Best Make Up & Hair), distribution title The Jonsson Gang (Best Art Direction) and international sales title The Other Side (Best Sound) were awarded with a total of four awards.
The Gullspira Children’s Film Award is a special achievement award which honors a person or an organization that has made extraordinary contributions to Swedish children’s film. Jon Nohrstedt, who has been a producer at SF Studios since 2011, has during the past decade produced children’s films such as Pelle No-Tail (2020), Nelly Rapp – Monster Agent (2020) and the Bamse-trilogy, the latter which is the most successful animated film franchise in Sweden with over one million ticket admissions. Nohrstedt has also produced the Toronto Film Festival-opener Borg/McEnroe (2017) and was in 2019 selected as a European Producer on the Move.
“Receiving a personal award, such as Gullspiran, means something very special and I am both happy and proud that the work I have done is acknowledged in this way. Children are an important audience, and it is therefore especially honorable to be recoginized as someone who has made a difference for children's film in Sweden ", says Jon Nohrstedt.

Tarik Saleh’s Eagles of the Republic selected as Sweden’s International Oscar Submission
Today the Swedish Film Institute’s Oscar Committee revealed that Eagles of the Republic by Tarik Saleh is Sweden’s Submission for an Oscar for Best International Feature Film. The 98th Academy Awards will be held in Los Angeles on March 15, 2026.
