SF Studios has signed a first look distribution agreement with Aurora Studios that will cover the Finnish production company’s slate until 2027. The deal is effective immediately with upcoming Finnish theatrical releases Herman the Clown and the Hypnotist (December 22), Four Little Adults (December 27) and The Missile (February 2). The partnership will strengthen SF Studios’ market offer in Finland adding to its already extensive library of local titles.

“SF Studios Finland has a strong legacy in distributing local films. Together with Aurora Studios’ executive producers, we have already delivered box office hits like Unknown Soldier (2017) and Ladies of Steel (2020). We now warmly welcome Aurora Studios to partner with us again. This is very natural joint venture and we look forward to together build a strong line-up of new titles for a cherished Finnish audience”, says Yaba Holst, Head of Nordic Acquisition at SF Studios.

“This distribution deal is part of SF Studios’ strategy to be a leading distributor in the Nordics offering a wide range of content from international blockbusters to strong local productions to screens all over the Nordics”, says Lars Wannebo, EVP Distribution at SF Studios.

”We are extremely happy to restart our great distribution co-operation with SF Studios and put our future focus in the production of domestic films and drama series, international co-productions, and the investing activities of Finnish Impact Film Fund (FIFF)”, says Ari Tolppanen, the Chairman of the Board of Aurora Studios.

Aurora Studios’ slate includes the anticipated high-quality comedies Herman the Clown and the Hypnotist by Timo Koivusalo, Selma Vilhunen’s awarded Four Little Adults and Miia Tervo's The Missile as well as film adaptation Itty Bitty Princess by Lauri Maijala and Anima Vitae's animated film Fleak. SF Studios will have first look rights to other upcoming releases from Aurora Studios until 2027.
