Cast in Love You For Now

The Danish directors, scriptwriters and actors Julie Rudbæk and Jesper Zuschlag have just started shooting their anti-romantic comedy drama Love You For Now. The film is produced by SF Studios with producer Marcella Dichmann and stars a stellar cast with Danish actors Kasper Dalsgaard, Sofie Jo Kaufmanas, Olivia Joof Lewerissa and Magnus Haugaard. The shooting takes place in Copenhagen and Hvidovre in Denmark until November 19 and the film is expected to premiere in Danish cinemas in fall 2022. SF Studios distributes the film in the Nordics and Reinvent handles international sales.

Love you For Now is about the pursuit of the great love and about our high expectations that hit reality when we finally find it. It's about the willingness to compromise with another human being and the eternal doubts that can arise when you meet a new partner.

The award-winning Julie Rudbæk and Jesper Zuschlag (29) have written the script and are also directing and starring in the film themselves.

“We have for a long time dreamt of creating a modern romantic comedy that speaks into our time. A drama comedy that has all the nuances of love. For love seems to be having a hard time these years. The dream still exists - but it just does not always match reality”, say directors Julie Rudbæk and Jesper Zuschlag.

In the film we follow Anna and Thomas, who are opposites, but they both lack the same thing - love. Anna is an independent career woman who keeps love at an arm's length distance. Thomas is a traditional romantic and is desperately looking for the one true love. With the support of their friends, we follow Anna and Thomas' journey from their very first encounter, through the confusing infatuation phase and into their everyday life as a couple.

Julie Rudbæk plays Anna, while Kasper Dalsgaard plays Thomas. The award-nominated Kasper Dalsgaard has appeared in several theatre productions Denmark and has also been featured in the last three seasons of SF Studios’ popular Danish TV-series The New Nurses.

The cast also includes the friends of Anna and Thomas - Nikolaj, played by Jesper Zuschlag; Kasper, played by Magnus Haugaard (Guilt, Klemt); Kathrine, played by Sofie Jo Kaufmanas (29, Klassen) and Signe, played by Oliva Joof Lewerissa (DNA, The Venus Effect). Anna's parents are played by Michael Moritzen and Vibeke Hastrup. In addition, the film also stars Katinka Petersen, Cyron Melville, Miri-Ann Beuschel, Lasse Dein, Roberta Reichardt, Karoline Brygmann, Anders Brink and Eva Jin.

“We are absolutely delighted to have this stellar cast in Love You For Now. We have succeeded in bringing together some of the most talented and funny people we know. It is a good mix of familiar faces and brand new talents. The cast is of great importance to us, and we are thrilled to see our universe come to life through these wonderful actors”, directors Julie Rudbæk and Jesper Zuschlag continue.

Love You For Now is produced by SF Studios with support from The Danish Film Institute with film consultant Lotte Svendsen for Komedie Call, in collaboration with TV2 Danmark and Hvidovre Municipality. The film is distributed by SF Studios in the Nordics and Reinvent handles international sales.
