The first teaser for SF Studios’ upcoming distribution title The Pension Heist has been released, giving audiences a first look at the Norwegian comedy starring Hege Schøyen, Anne Marie Ottersen and Anette Hoff. The film will premiere in cinemas across Norway on October 16.
After decades of loyalty and domestic work, 65-year-old Annema is abruptly cast aside when her husband leaves her for someone younger. Joining forces with Nina, deemed too old to work, and Mona, who is struggling to make ends meet, the three women decide to stop playing by the rules. Their plan is as bold as it is unlikely: a heist targeting the Norwegian Oil Fund. The Pension Heist is a sharp feel-good comedy about starting over on your own terms.
The Pension Heist is a fast-paced and entertaining heist comedy packed with energy, surprises and unexpected twists. The film brings together some of Norway’s most beloved actors and is directed by Gunnbjörg Gunnarsdóttir (Victoria Must Go, The Bergen Train Robbery).
Producer Jørgen Storm Rosenberg at 74 Entertainment comments: “We are thrilled to bring Norwegian audiences a film that explores the realities many older people face today - from losing a job or being denied medical treatment because of age. While The Pension Heist is first and foremost a comedy, audiences will recognize themselves in the story and sense the film’s timely and serious undertones.”
Produced by Jørgen Storm Rosenberg at 74 Entertainment in collaboration with SF Studios, with support from the Norwegian Film Institute and the Zefyr Media Fund. International sales are handled by LevelK. The Pension Heist will premiere in Norwegian cinemas on October 16.
